Learner questions

A learnership is a structured, work based learning programme that leads to a full, accredited qualification on the NQF. A skills programme is shorter and is made up of selected unit standards from a registered qualification focused on a specific competence. A Nated programme is a National Diploma (N4 N6) that builds sequentially toward a National Diploma qualification.

Anyone who has completed school can apply both employed and unemployed learners. Specific programme entry requirements vary by NQF level. We'll guide you to the right fit when you apply.

Yes. On successful completion you receive a recognised certificate either a full qualification (for learnerships and Nated) or a certificate of competence (for skills programmes). All certificates align with SAQA standards.

Many of our learnerships for unemployed learners (18.2) include a monthly stipend funded by the sponsoring employer. The exact amount depends on the programme we'll confirm during enrolment.

Learnerships typically run for 12 months. Skills programmes are shorter anything from a few days to a few weeks depending on the unit standards. Nated programmes run on trimester/semester cycles (N4 → N5 → N6).
